Choosing a Class:
The age recommendations outlined for Kindermusik classes have been carefully constructed to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way.  Therefore, it is important that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the semester for the class in which you are enrolling.

Class Visits:
I am happy to schedule a free visit to one of my classes if you have a friend that is interested in Kindermusik.  Please call and schedule ahead of time however.  Grandparents are always welcome to come and visit us.  I will always have a folding chair available to bring to the classroom if they would be more comfortable sitting on a chair.

Make-Up Classes:
Classes will be made up in the event of a teacher illness.  A student-missed class can only be made up if there is another class time offered of the same level.

Refunds:
Tuition refunds or credit vouchers may be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class.  Any refund request will be considered on an individual basis. The classes already attended and the cost of home materials are non-refundable.

Non-enrolled Siblings:
Kindermusik class sizes are limited.  Most classes will be unable to accommodate non-enrolled siblings. The exception would be if you have an infant and he/she is able to stay in their carrier.  Please be considerate and avoid distractions as much as possible.  If the baby cries or needs attention, please slip out of the room until the situation is resolved.

ALL SIBLINGS ARE ALWAYS INVITED TO JOIN US FOR THE LAST 15 MINUTE SHARING TIME OF CLASSES.

Making the Most of Kindermusik Classes:
Plan to arrive 3-5 minutes early for class.  Arriving a little before class provides time for your child to settle in to the musical environment as they listen to music.

Please be on time for end of the class sharing time.  Many children feel sad or anxious when it is time to share with parents and theirs isn’t there.

We do request that toys, sippie cups and pacifiers kept out of sight and that snacks be finished prior to class.  Sippie cups can become quite a distraction. Pacifiers get in the way of singing efforts.  Baby dolls and other toys may cause a child-sized riot!!

During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. Have fun singing, dancing and enjoying the instruments with your child. When you are an active focused participant in class activities, your child will focus more fully too. Be sure to dress comfortably.  We are up and down and all around!  Please remove shoes as you arrive and leave them by the Kindermusik door.

You and your child will enormously benefit from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your At Home materials.  Frequent reinforcement at home throughout the week makes all the difference in a child’s comfort and participation in the classroom.

Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email if I can be of further help.
I look so forward to having you and your child join us for a great semester of Kindermusik classes!
